Ingredients
- 6 Rome Beauty apples
- ½ cup raisins or currants
- ½–¾ cup white wine
- 6 tablespoons orange marmalade
- ¼–½ cup sugar
Preparation
Heat oven to 350°F. Soak raisins or currants in the wine.
Wash and core the apples. Butter a baking dish into which they fit easily, and put in the apples. Into the core holes alternate a layer of raisins with a teaspoon of marmalade, then more raisins. Sprinkle with sugar and pour the soaking wine into the baking dish.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the apples are soft and puffy.
