Snack Box Brownies

HERE’S A fun way to jazz up these brownies. Use our topping suggestions or substitute your favorite snacks.

Ingredients

Brownies
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1⅛ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅝ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant espresso powder
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla
  • ¾ cup flour
Topping
  • ⅔ cup dulce de leche
  • ⅔ cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • ½ cup mini pretzels

Instructions

Melt the butter and sugar in a pot until bubbling and homogenous. Remove from the heat, cool and add in the eggs.

Add all remaining brownie ingredients, except the flour. Fold in the flour and pour into a prepared 8- by 8-inch or 9- by 9-inch pan.

Dollop the dulce de leche around the top of the brownies; swirl with a butter knife. Sprinkle on other toppings.

Bake at 350ºF for 28—30 minutes.
