Mary Paganelli Votto is a graduate of the Culinary Arts Program at the New School for Social Research in New York City. She writes about food and travel for several publications and is the author of The Insiders’ Guide to Tucson and co-author of The Insiders’ Guide to Phoenix. Passionate about the health benefits of traditional foods, she works with TOCA on their Food Systems program, promoting the reintroduction of Tohono O’odham traditional foods through cooking demonstrations and classes throughout the Tohono O’odham Nation.
