Tonopah Rob - Closed

About Tonopah Rob's CSA: "It's like running a bar tab that was pre-paid," Rob Lazzarotto says of Tonopah Rob's CSA program. Instead of weekly delivery boxes, members have a dollar-value balance ($250 for a half share, $1,000 for a "super duper" share) they can use to shop at the farmstand. And they'll use it all, too, since more than 300 different varieties of fruits and vegetables are grown on the nine-acre farm and sold alongside eggs, honey and fresh-cut flowers. Look for tilapia to be available in the middle of 2015.

Maya's Farm

It is her respect for, and relationship with, the earth that keeps her in the business and it shines through in her diverse seasonal produce—beets, carrots, Tuscano kale, baby collards, spigarella, mint, sorrel, purslane. Maya’s farm is certified organic.

Flowers are also available, in season from February to October. They can be purchased at the Farm Stand, through the CSA Program, and at Downtown Phoenix Farmers Market on Saturdays.

Desert Roots Farm - CLOSED

About Desert Roots' CSA: It's not just about fruits and veggies here: Desert Roots Farm CSA members of Desert Rooms Farm (a Local Hero Award winner in 2012 and 2014) have the option of adding fresh-baked bread, organic coffee beans, grass-fed beef, naturally raised pork, pasture-raised chicken, farmer's cheese and small-batch butter to their shares.

The Farm at Agritopia

The mini city is comprised of 450 houses, commercial spaces and 16 acres of agriculture. What you won’t find are walls, overly wide streets, garage doors or anything else that might isolate people and hinder sharing. Is this Utopia? See for yourself. The restaurant, coffeehouse, farm-to-table restaurant and farmer’s market are all open to the public.
