Why We Love It: The seed bank here holds over 2,000 varieties—many rare and endangered. Native Seeds is trying to keep plants alive by making sure they are available and accessible to food-growers everywhere, especially traditional communities. You can shop the different varieties at their store or online. Besides the bank, there is also a conservation farm and a Seed School where you can learn about the history, science and business of seeds.
