Poetry for the Seasons
Every season has its poem...
Tall and perfectly slender gathered in bunches
They were so elegant . . . standing beside me
As my mouth watered, my imagination went wild
Spring is the time that is simply divine
Women with swirling skirts
In my favorite shade of green I close my eyes for a moment and relish the smell evoking memories of formal dinner parties and fresh
Asparagus, amidst a blanket of Hollandaise Tender tips . . . with my head tilted back
Amy Vanderbilt would agree that my table etiquette is spot on!
I must save a few for later in the privacy of my home
Enjoying the last of you until our next encounter
