Feeding the Future
The Feeding the Future contest, part of the Blue Watermelon Project, challenges students to create healthy, tasty and affordable meals that meet National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP) guidelines. Aimed at Arizona students, the contest helps participants understand the challenges school food professionals face, including nutrition, cost and diverse food preferences. Students gain real-world culinary experience by followng nutrition guidelines, working with peers and learning about food economics. #abettertrayeveryday
