Brenna Zumbro
Brenna Zumbro loves to document the stories of everyday people who do extraordinary things, whether they grow food or craft the handmade mug you put your locally roasted coffee in; she lives to tell their stories. Brenna brings curiosity, simplicity, and confidence to each story she tells, resulting in a deep connection with her subjects.
Her photography mirrors reality by using a combination of natural and essential lighting - staying true to the sense of place and person. Although primarily a still photographer, she has recently been working on a handful of multi-media documentaries.
Growing up in Payson, AZ made for a priceless childhood, leaving her with a creative mind, a love for the outdoors, and an adventurous spirit. In 2008, she graduated from Brooks Institute of Photography with a B.A. in Commercial Photography. She continued her education with the best photographer and teacher she could have ever imagined, Jeff Zaruba, who mentored her into her own, personal style and helped her discover her passion… telling stories through photographic narratives.
Brenna maintains an eagerness for storytelling, because she feels her photography can make a difference in the world, by sharing a glimpse into the lives of ordinary people who make our lives prosperous and exciting. Her interests and inspirations are her mountain bike, long distance road biking, delicious food, pine trees, beekeeping, and her Corgi, Bandit.
