Blood Orange Purée

This puree is an ingredient for the Blood Orange Gumdrops.

Zest approximately 10 oranges before peeling. Peel oranges, discarding skin but leaving as much of pith as possible. Remove any visible seeds. Purée the peeled oranges and the zest in a blender until smooth. Press through a sieve. Discard solids remaining in the seive.
