Why We Love It: Danuta Zablocki’s potato- and cheese-stuffed pierogis make us wish we’d grown up with a Polish grandmother. None are as delicate and comforting as hers. Go to this tiny, bare-bones Polish kitchen/deli and ask Danuta to cook a plate for you, and then you’ll understand what we’re talking about. Just be sure to bring a cooler to stock up. (Products are also available at several area farmers’ markets.)
