Why We Love It: This 160-acre farm has been producing mostly Rhone varietals—Chardonnay, Syrah, Chenin Blanc, Riesling, Merlot, Sangiovese and a Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre blend called Rule of Three—since 2008. The family-run vineyard recently earned 3 medals at the Arizona Republic Wine Competition: the Sweet Adeline Riesling won gold in the dessert wine division, the 2011 Carlson Creek Syrah won bronze in the reds division and the 2011 Carlson Creek Chenin Blanc won gold in the whites division.
