Up all night tossing and turning
All I can think of is the subtle sweetness
of the innocent Fig
How very different from the Date!
I have had many “dates”
Most sweet ... maybe too sweet.
Waiting for the summer’s sun to burn off
I was done dating ... “Figuratively” speaking
It was the beginning of autumn
as I pondered my summer loves.
In a serendipitous moment
I discovered the appeal of
a very curious Fig,
that had fallen into my lap
under the shade of a voluptuous tree;
In my garden of eating
where ALL things are possible!
It is about time my Fig
