This workshop empowers you to create an environment that fosters successful native bee populations in gardens, orchards, and natural spaces. Learn about these vital pollinators by reviewing basic information about native bees and their contribution as pollinators, focusing on key species and their life cycles, and reviewing best plants for native bees. Information and examples of how to make your own native bee nest from repurposed materials will be presented so that you can start attracting native bees in your area.

Facilitator is Bill McGuire, a desert gardener, and native bee enthusiast. Bill in on the Board of Directors for Native Seeds/SEARCH, a regional agricultural seed conservation organization based in Tucson, Arizona.
