Why We Love It: If you are on the hunt for heirloom plants, this is where to go. Aravaipa’s mission is to save local heirlooms (particularly tomato and pepper), many of which are endangered and on Slow Food USA’s Ark of Taste. They have almost 250 tomato varieties,180 pepper varieties, tomatillos, eggplants, Solanum and Physalis edibles, herbs and spices––all organically grown, non-GMO, and open-pollinated.
