The Sisters on the Fly are a fun-loving group of women who get together to “fish, camp, cook over a campfire and enjoy the tranquility of ‘no children, no husbands, no pets”‘ – often in their funky, uniquely decorated travel trailers. (Based on the preponderance of drinks recipes in Chapter 10: Luscious Libations, we’d probably add “mix up a mean cocktail” to that activities list.)

The recipes are for what you’d call good, honest, tasty food cooked up in a cast-iron pan or a Dutch oven. Don’t have a campfire nearby? No worries. These dishes are as easily prepared in a home kitchen as they are rustled up at a campsite (in fact, many of them call for baking in a conventional oven). But if you do happen to have a freshly caught trout, a cast-iron frying pan and a nearby campfire, this book gives you plenty of ideas for what to do with them.
