AgWest Farm Credit opened its annual $15,000 New Producer Grant last weekend. To help spread the word, we will share three local grant recipients with you now through May 31, 2025.
In our spring issue, learn about Shonri Begay, Carol “Fritz” Fritzinger, and R. Cruz Begay (Three Sisters Bean Farm) who are reconnecting their community through heirloom beans. They used the grant funds for the installation of a new, more efficient irrigation system and some essential tools. Shonri shared that the grant application process helped “conceptualize the farm as a business and dream big about our future.”
