Kim Haasarud

Kim Haasarud is a nationally recognized mixologist and beverage consultant, working with hundreds of liquor brands, major international restaurants and hotels , creating successful cocktail and bar programs.  While traveling the globe, seeing and meeting new innovations and flavors, she has a strong grasp on current trends, while also understanding large-scale operations.  Her expertise and skills include: TV appearances and demos, drink development, bar design consultation, bartender training, trend analysis and menu design to create top-of-class beverage programs whether it be a small neighborhood burger joint or hotel mioxlogy program.

She’s works with both large and small groups and multitude of different concepts globally such as: PF Changs, OMNI Hotels & Resorts, Kona Grill, to Tres in New Delhi, India , et al as well as dozens of beverage and alcohol brands.  Kim has been a judge on Iron Chef America, as well doing guest appearances on the “The Today Show,” CBS’ “Early Morning Show,” “Fox & Friends” to name just a few. She has been featured on various radio programs including “Good Food” with Evan Kleiman, Martha Stewart’s “Everyday Food”, “Cosmo Radio” and ABC & CNN Radio syndicate.  Her cocktails have been seen in over a hundred magazines and newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, LA Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Washington Post, Saveur, Edible LA, Vogue, SELF, Wine Enthusiast, BRIDES, Woman’s World, Lucky, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Associated Press among others.

Kim is the author of the best-selling “101... “ cocktail series with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (101 Margaritas, 101 Martinis, 101 Sangrias & Pitcher Drinks, 101 Champagne Cocktails, 101 Blended Drinks, 101 Mojitos and other Muddled Drinks 101 Tropical Drinks and 101 Shots.

She currently lives with her husband Kevin, two children Holden & Maddy, and dogs Emi and Lucy in Phoenix, AZ.  She is a producer of the Apres Ski Cocktail Classic (in Aspen) and is on the Board of Directors for the USBG (United States Bartenders Guild).  Her most recent endeavor is the “The Cocktail Callaborative” (dubbed “The LAB”) in Phoenix, Arizona, a non-profit organization that serves as a brick and mortar space for beverage professionals to hone their skills and use as a development space.
