Why We Love It: Maya is passionate about the politics of food production and bringing the focus back to small farms. It is her respect for, and relationship with, the earth that keeps her in the business and it shines through in her diverse seasonal produce—beets, carrots, Tuscano kale, baby collards, spigarella, mint, sorrel, purslane. Maya’s farm is certified organic.

About Maya's CSA: Famer Maya Dailey worked her way backward through the food supply chain, starting her career in the restaurant industry before founding her nearly seven-acre farm in South Phoenix—so you know the recipes she offers with her produce are top-notch. The farm's popular CSA includes selections from Maya’s seasonal stock: veggies (like broccoli, beets, and radishes), greens (chard, kale, and spigarella) and herbs (marjoram, dill, and mint). But now the farm, which we’ve honored with several Local Hero Awards, also works with local vendors such as Noble Bread, Hayden Flour Mills and Wisdom Nectar Tea for add-on options. Shares ($300 for 12 weeks) can be picked up at the farm or at Hillside Spot, Urban Bean, the Phoenix Public Market, The Café Allegro or Tarabell's Restaurant, all in Phoenix.
