Why We Love It: No pasta here, folks. At this modern Italian restaurant, it is all about the smart cocktails and a clever menu divided into: raw (crudo), cooked (cotto), mozzarella (mozza), and grilled (griglia). We suggest ordering from at least one of each. You might think gnocchi and trotter sounds a little heavy, or that yellowtail collar and pickled watermelon rind is a little weird, but trust us when we tell you they are perfect and delicious and fine. If you don’t trust us, trust the chef—he just cooked at the James Beard house!
