The Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability presents a new installment of their Urban Talk Series followed by a tour of Roosevelt Growhouse on Saturday, September 30th from 10:30 – 11:30 p.m. at Roosevelt Growhouse (1025 N 2nd St, Phoenix, AZ 85004).

The Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability will host Roosevelt Growhouse for one of their Urban Garden Talks. In 2008, a dedicated group of community volunteers planted seeds for neighborhood revitalization through urban agriculture & the arts. Through continued hard work & care, a barren corner in Downtown Phoenix blossomed into the Roosevelt Growhouse, a beloved community urban farm, shop, and gathering place. Join co-founder Kenny Barrett as he pulls back the soil, takes you back to the beginning, and shows you the roots of Phoenix's one-and-only "Growhouse."

Co-presented by The Southwest Gardener.
