Learn to plant and care for garden bulbs

Forever or just for fun, we do grow bulbs here. Desert gardeners can grow bulbs! It is just a whole new genre of interesting plants for desert gardens. Come see what is happening under ground!

Participants will learn to: List the various plants collected under the category 'bulb,’ their similarities and differences. Apply best practices for planting bulbs for desert gardens Maintain bulbs in desert gardens.

Presented by Master Gardener Pam Perry
Pam has planted just about every type of vegetable and flowering plant that grows well locally, whether it was in her home garden or our demonstration garden. She graduated from University of Vermont and moved to Colorado where she loved to prowl local nurseries and garden centers. She volunteered at Denver Botanic Gardens and became a certified Master Gardener. She moved to California and qualified again as a Master Gardener, achieving Lifetime Master Gardener status for Solano County. She and her husband moved to Phoenix where she worked as the garden designer and became a Maricopa County Master Gardener. Pam volunteers as Director of the Demonstration Gardens at the Extension.
