Join us for our 13th Annual Earth Day Celebration at the Market!
8am – 10am Kid’s Bike Rodeo
The city of Phoenix Fire and Police departments are teaming up to educate youth about bike safety and promote the use of bike helmets. Ride on over with the family to join the fun at our EARTH DAY BICYCLE RIDING OBSTACLE COURSE at the Market. Children will have the opportunity to actively participate in various activities to improve their riding ability and learn bike safety tips. Children are invited to bring their bikes and helmets to participate in event activities. Bikes will also be provided at the event.

Natural Pest Management in the Garden

Bag It! Saturday April 21st, we’re going Plastic Bag Free for the day to heighten awareness about the pressing issues brought about by the growing use of disposable bags. Even if just for one day, choose paper over plastic, or even better bring your own bags to the Market.
Everyday millions of plastic bags get disposed of, and without active people like yourself getting involved, the future is going to be dealing with hundreds of millions of pounds of plastic bags clogging oceans, rivers, and the world at large. We are reminded that those bags we pick up from the retailers are used for an incredibly short time, usually under 25 minutes, and are then disposed of. Plastic bags remain in the world for anywhere from 100-500 years before finally decaying completely, and have a profound impact upon our environment as a result.
